Separated Instruments - Case 3

This piece of instrument is quite deep and presents a difficult removal. Luckily, the canal is not too long and is relatively straight. There is some hope yet, but the prognosis is certainly guarded at best.
The referring office was kind enough to provide us with the separated instrument and a new one to compare it with. We see here exactly what we are dealing with.
A major factor is the ability to see the top of the fractured piece through the microscope. It usually reflects the light nicely and we can see what we are trying to do.
After removal, with a bit of luck always helpful, we achieve complete obturation. Of course, we don't always win, but it's satisfying when it happens, some of these are locked in so tight that they just won't budge.
