Lateral Canals - Case 2

This palatal root has an apical bifidity and it is hard to know which is the main canal and which is the secondary one, as they are both about the same size. Treating these can provide some interesting tactile feedback. There is also a smaller lateral canal at the mid-root level causing a splash of sealer into the furcal region. It is best not to disturb these areas with posts if possible. These lateral canals can present quite a diagnostic problem if the case is failing and you don't know they are there.
