Miscellaneous Cases - Case 3

This is another underfilled case with slightly widened PDL spaces apically. This time, the patient is going to have crown and bridge work done, and it is decided that a better foundation is required first. Retreatments are a large part of any Endodontic practice.

You never know for sure what you're getting into with retreatments, but usually it is possible to improve the situation. Ideally, all the canals are treated to the apex. A complete seal of the entire root canal system is always the goal. We can then be more comfortable about the prospects of long term success.
